Linda Hogan Busted for Lead Foot

Nick Hogan gets out of jail Oct. 21. Apparently mother Linda was in a rush to visit him before he gets his walking papers.

The reality-TV matriarch and estranged wife of the Hulkster was cited for speeding in Florida while en route to visit her son in the clink.

"She received a traffic ticket," Pinellas County Sheriff Department Sgt. Jim Bordner tells E! News, adding that, despite some earlier reports, "she was not arrested."

Hogan was pulled over on Tampa's Bayside Bridge at about 2:52 p.m. ET Friday after her white Escalade was clocked at 71 mph in a 55 mph zone.

"After stopping the car, [the deputy] identified the driver as Linda Bollea [Hogan's legal name]," says Bordner. "The deputy said she was cooperative and told him that she was on her way to visit her son."

Hogan now must decide whether to fight the $206 citation. Her options, per Bordner: "She can pay the ticket, go to court or go to driver improvement school."

DWTS' Hélio in Hot Water; Indicted for Tax Evasion

Helio Castroneves, Julianne Hough ABC/CAROL KAELSON

Has someone been waltzing away with the government's money?

Hélio Castroneves, the former Indy 500 racing champ who won the fifth season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars, is in a heap of trouble today after the feds obtained an indictment against him for failing to pay millions in taxes from 1999 to 2004.

The Brazilian-born Castroneves, 33, along with his sister, Katiucia, 35, and his Ohio-based lawyer, Alan Miller, 71, face conspiracy and tax-evasion charges for hatching a tax-dodging scheme using an offshore shell corporation based in Panama to hide upwards of $5.5 million from the Internal Revenue Service. (View the indictment.)

And with the current financial crisis, you had to figure the feds were going to come calling.

Top Model Golden Breaks Silence on Blonsky Brawl

Bianaca Golden and Tyra Tyra Banks Show

Former America's Next Top Model contestant Bianca Golden just broke her silence on the airport scuffle that resulted in her mother's hospitalization and the arrest of Nikki Blonsky, but the Hairspray star isn't joining in on the disclosure circuit just yet.

"Since this is a pending legal issue, she's been advised by her lawyer not to comment," Blonsky publicist Teal Cannaday tells E! News.

Golden, meanwhile, appears to have received no such advising and took her side of the story to her former TV mentor, opening up about the July 29 Caribbean smackdown on The Tyra Banks Show.

D.A. Weighing Locklear's Fate; Witness Accounts Conflict

Heather Locklear, Mugshot Santa Barbara Police Department

For the time being, Heather Locklear is in the clear.

With the police investigation over, the Santa Barbara District Attorney Office is reviewing the evidence, but "no charges have been filed yet" for the actress' weekend DUI bust, Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter tells E! News.

The former Melrose Place predator was arrested last Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence. The California Highway Patrol was alerted by what the incident report calls a "concerned citizen," who, it turns out, is a former Us Weekly staffer who subsequently sold photos of the arrest. In the 911 call, the tipster claims Locklear seemed tipsy. (Listen to the 911 call.)

However, a new witness has stepped forward and tells E! News exclusively that Locklear "did not seem to be drunk at all."

Mindy McCready Turns Up for Lockdown

Mindy McCready AP Photo/John Russell

The mean streets of Franklin, Tenn., just got a little safer.

Mindy McCready has made good on her word to local authorities, turning herself in to Williamson County's finest to begin serving a 60-day sentence.

The troubled country songbird was found in violation of her probation on a 2004 drug charge back in June, when she was arrested for falsifying community-service records. She had been ordered to perform the community service as part of her sentence for falsifying a prescription.

On Monday, the 32-year-old announced plans to turn herself in, asserting it was the first step in her long-promised road to recovery.

"I am working very hard to put all of this behind me as quickly as possible so I can get back to what I like to do most: sing, write songs and entertain," she said.

Locklear Arrest: Let's Go to the Videotape!

Heather Locklear, Mugshot Santa Barbara Police Department

Despite what you may have read elsewhere, there were no weird doings during the Heather Locklear bust this weekend. So says the California Highway Patrol.

Earlier today, TMZ insinuated that the arresting officer was taking snapshots for his private collection based on photographs of the incident.

“It’s strictly for evidence," CHP spokesman Lt. Dane Lobb tells E! News. "The officer was using his video camera to document the field sobriety test.”

In the TMZ photos, the officer is seen wielding a cell phone—not part of the agency-issued gear—and taking pictures as Locklear is being handcuffed behind a patrol car.

D.A.'s Eagle Eye Takes Aim at Shia's Accident

Shia LaBeouf Flynetpictures.com

While Shia LaBeouf remains felony-free for his part in July's hand-mangling car crash, prosecutors have managed to pull some blame from the literal wreckage.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office today filed charges against the two people who hit LaBeouf's pickup truck and who allegedly played musical chairs with their story.

Herbert Simon, 22, and Kimberly Bent, 21, were each slapped with misdemeanors for allegedly giving police false information. Per D.A. spokeswoman Jane Robison, Bent initially told police that she was the one behind the wheel at the time of the headline-grabbing smash, but officials believe that Simon was actually the one driving.

In August, Simon was cited for a vehicular infraction for running a red light, not because prosecutors were certain he was in the driver's seat, but because the car was registered in his name.

It's time for Mindy McCready to face the music for the...well, we've lost count of which time this is.

The ever-troubled country star is due to surrender to Tennessee authorities Tuesday to begin serving 60 days behind bars for violating probation, yet again, in her 2004 prescription-drug fraud case, her lawyer announced this morning.

"I am working very hard to put all of this behind me as quickly as possible so I can get back to what I like to do most: sing, write songs and entertain," the country twanger said in a statement.

"I would like to thank my fans for their unwavering support as I continue to work on my recovery and to regain custody of my precious son, Zander."

Heather Locklear Arrested After "Concerned Citizen" Calls CHP

Heather Locklear, Mugshot Santa Barbara Police Department

Former Melrose Place cougar Heather Locklear picked the wrong place for a meltdown this weekend.

The small-screen star was arrested around 5 p.m. Saturday after California Highway Patrol officers found her parked car blocking traffic in Montecito, Calif., a tony enclave near Santa Barbara.

According to the incident report, a "concerned citizen" called police after witnessing Locklear, 47, "driving forwards and backwards over a pair of sunglasses and revving her engine" in a parking lot.

The witness then came upon Locklear again on the road.

Hayden Panettiere's Dad Faces Battery Charge

As Claire Bennet knows, some wounds remain open even if you can't see them.

Hayden Panettiere's father, Alan, was charged Thursday with misdemeanor battery stemming from an altercation with his wife that the Heroes star later called a misunderstanding that was "blown way out of proportion by a sheriff who wanted his 15 minutes of fame."

Add a Los Angeles prosecutor to that lineup, as well, because Alan Panettiere is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 11. He remains free on $50,000 bail.

O.J. Wanted Guns, Pal Says; Goldman Lawyer Can't Testify

O.J. Simpson Isaac Brekken-Pool/Getty Images

O.J. Simpson claims he had no idea that anyone was going to pull a gun when he went to take back what he says was stolen property from two sports memorabilia dealers in Las Vegas last year.

One of the guys who carried a gun begs to differ.

Simpson's presumably former golfing buddy, Walter Alexander, one of four men accused of committing armed robbery with Simpson who has pleaded down to a lesser charge in exchange for his testimony, said in court Wednesday that it was totally the infamous football star's idea to bring guns to the Sept. 13, 2007, meeting—and that Simpson encouraged them afterward to forget about the guns.

DMX Hospitalized, No Court This Week

DMX Paul Redmond/WireImage.com

Things are really shaping up strangely for DMX.

The 37-year-old rapper was hospitalized Monday in Florida, meaning so much for tomorrow's court date in Arizona related to his ongoing animal-cruelty and drug-possession case.

Without disclosing exactly what was ailing DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, attorney Bradford Cohen told Billboard.com that "it was serious enough for him to be brought and taken into a treatment facility.

"He spent the night there last night and he will probably spend tonight there as well," Cohen said Tuesday. "I don't think it's going to be an ongoing thing or a life-threatening situation. He's going to be alright."

When asked whether it wasn't quite the coincidence that DMX—who was recently extradited back to Phoenix from Miami on an outstanding warrant for missing a hearing—had ended up in the hospital on the eve of a court date, Bradford said that he didn't think the setback would negatively affect his client's case.
