Family, Friends Honor Life of Jett Travolta
In the end, John Travolta and Kelly Preston wanted to keep their son Jett close to their hearts and home.
Relatives and close friends gathered Thursday for a private memorial service at the family's Ocala, Fla., estate to say goodbye to the 16-year-old, who died suddenly last week after suffering a seizure.
Members of the press crowded outside the gates of the Jumbolair Aviation Estates, where residents can pilot their private planes practically up to their front doors, but the proceedings remained closed to outsiders.
Attendees were screened by security before being allowed to approach the Travoltas' house.

How Did Stars Get So Swindled by Madoff?
Didn't you once talk about how many people work for stars? If so many people work for them, how could a big celeb like Kevin Bacon get taken by financial advisor Bernard Madoff?
—Pubster, San Jose
Indeed, stars are excellent collectors of two things: money and people. Angelina Jolie prefers her person collection to come small and swaddled, but most other celebrities like to amass adults: assistants (anywhere from one to three per person) as well as multiple agents, nannies (three per child) and the like.
As for how an alleged fraudster financier like Madoff could penetrate all those celebrity toadies—he is accused of bilking millions from Bacon, his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, Steven Spielberg and many others—the answer may surprise you...

Cruise Chokes Up About "Horrific" Travolta Tragedy
A shaken Tom Cruise struggled mightily to describe his feelings on the shocking death of Jett Travolta during an appearance on The View.
"It's horrific," said Cruise, a close friend of John Travolta and Kelly Preston. "Both of them doting parents, just wonderful people...it's just...
"I remember Jett when he was born. I saw him when he was a few months old and John just adored him," he continued. "It's something I don't have the words..."
With Cruise barely holding it together, View maven Barbara Walters changed the subject, asking if Cruise had a response to critics who claim Scientology prevents parents from giving medication to their ailing children and have suggested the religion's rules played a part in the 16-year-old's death.

Source: "The Deal Is Done" on Tori's Return to 90210
Talk about a long labor!
After nearly three months of negotiations over Tori Spelling's return to 90210, a reliable CW insider close to the talks tells me the deal was finally signed off on today. "It's a done deal," I'm told.
"I'm really excited," Jennie Garth told our Michael Yo at yesterday's People's Choice Awards when asked about Tori's rumored return. As for what took so long, Jennie simply said, "I wish I could tell you. I think that whatever it was is resolved, and I couldn't be happier."
Tori is expected to appear toward the end of the current freshman season and could also pop back in on season two.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: No Secret Wedding!
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have not tied the knot.
Speculation about secret nuptials started Tuesday when Taraji P. Henson, who stars as Queenie opposite Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, referred to her costar as Jolie's "husband" during an interview at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
But Henson tells me we shouldn't look too deeply into the husband remark because...
R. Kelly No Longer Trapped in the Marital Closet
It's been easy to forget that R. Kelly also had a crumbling marriage to deal with over the last year.
But nevertheless, as of today, the R&B star, whose full name is Robert Kelly, is officially divorced from his wife of 11 years, Andrea Kelly, according to a joint statement released by their attorneys.
"The parties have reached an amicable resolution concerning all issues related to their marriage and will share joint custody of their three children," the lawyers said in announcing that a judgment for a dissolution of marriage was entered Thursday.
"The details of this agreement will remain confidential and the family requests that their privacy be respected during this time."
The Kellys swapped vows in 1996. They have two daughters, Jaya and Joann, and a son, Robert Jr. This was R. Kelly's second marriage, counting his five-month union with a then 15-year-old Aaliyah, which was ultimately annulled in February 1995.
Stephanie Marches Back to Law & Order: SVU
Stephanie March is back on the job.
The 34-year-old actress will reprise her role as Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Cabot in a six-episode guest arc on Law & Order: SVU, starting Feb. 17.
According to series executive producer Neal Baer, Alex is returning to bust some special victim-abusing heads while her replacement, ADA Kim Grayleck (Michaela McManus), is on assignment in Washington, D.C.
"Every time I run into it I think, 'Hmmm, what if?'" March said in a statement. "I look forward to spending some time working with a production that has always been so rewarding for me."
Since leaving the show in 2003 (Alex was forced into witness protection after busting a murderous drug dealer), March has guested on 30 Rock and Grey's Anatomy, appeared on the Food Network to partake of hubby Bobby Flay's cuisine, and starred—also as Alex Cabot—on the short-lived L&O spinoff Conviction.
